The fine print

An Occupation Right Agreement is a form of purchase contract that is used by retirement communities in New Zealand when you buy a retirement apartment or villa. This protects your interests.

These agreements vary from community to community so it is important to read them carefully and to consult with your lawyer before making a decision.

“Many of the apartments overlook the Hutt River. Some have direct access to a deck or small patio. Some have the benefit of a small conservatory.”
