A proud heritage

The Woburn Masonic Village was founded by The Masonic Villages Trust, a charity set up in 1960 by Freemasons in the southern North Island to provide care and services for older people.

“Our retirement communities and care facilities are the first choice of many, thanks to our reputation for quality accommodation and personalised care. As a charity, any surpluses we generate are used to improve our services and facilities.”

Our retirement communities and care facilities are the first choice of many, thanks to our reputation for quality accommodation and personalised care. As a NZ-based charity, any surpluses we generate are used to improve our services and facilities.

Woburn Apartments is the latest development for the Trust and its operating company, Masonic Villages Limited. In all our villages – in  Woburn, Levin, Palmerston North, Foxton, Masterton and Taranaki – we are actively building and upgrading our retirement offerings.

Integrity, charity, excellence, respect for others and community service are foundation stones of Freemasonry. In keeping with these values, all people of goodwill – regardless of their race, religion, nationality or personal beliefs – are welcome at Woburn Apartments.

The Trust’s emblem echoes the forget-me-not, a small flower that has a longstanding historical connection with the values of Freemasonry – values upon which the Woburn Apartments are founded.
